Real estate development company Kanton revealed detailed plans of a new campus for Solidarity’s private Afrikaans university Akademia in Pretoria on Thursday.
The campus will include office blocks, lecture halls, laboratories, an auditorium, dedicated research halls, a cafeteria, restaurants, coffee shops, a student centre, a library, and staff accommodation.
“The second phase will see the completion of the academic campus and residences, followed by the sports facilities, a chapel and auditorium,” Schalekamp said.
Kanton said the campus project is the largest development project in the history of the Afrikaans language and culture communities and represents a major historical turning point to ensure the sustainability of higher education in Afrikaans.

✝️ Another brutal farm murder of defenseless 81 year old
Kritzinger and his wife, Sarie (77), were attacked by a group of men on Friday, July 19, or Saturday, July 20. According to the charge sheet, it appears that both were mercilessly struck with an unknown object, especially over the head and in the face. Dirk was bound with wire when he was presumably already severely injured. He was already dead when help arrived. Sarie was lying on the kitchen floor.

In Zuid-Afrika is het vandaag een officiële feestdag, namelijk vrouwendag. In plaats van mee te gaan in de multiculturele invulling van deze dag herdenken wij vandaag onze vrouwelijke helden.
Op deze foto is het Nationale Vrouwenmonument in Bloemfontein te zien, een herdenkingsplaats ter nagedachtenis van de duizenden blanke Afrikaner vrouwen en kinderen die afgeslacht werden in concentratiekampen.
We zijn trots op onze geschiedenis en we zullen onze voorouders en moeders herdenken, zoals dat terecht het geval is.
Hun bloed en zweet, en hun offer, bevestigden het bestaan van ons volk.
Laten we het niet vergeten. Omdat een natie die zijn geschiedenis vergeet en deze niet koestert, een natie is die zelfmoord pleegt.

SA’s water problem has the makings of a national catastrophe unless urgent action is taken. Two privately-run water concessions, one in KwaZulu-Natal and the other in Mpumalanga, offer a glimmer of hope for the country – if struggling municipalities can be persuaded to relinquish control of water and waste management systems.
Here’s the problem: nearly half the water supplied across the country earns no revenue because of leaks, broken or absent meters, illegal connections and billing problems. The number of municipalities piping poor quality water has steadily increased, reaching 46% in 2022, with many parts of the country going without water for days or weeks at a time.
Now let’s take a look at two privately-run water systems that were granted 30-year concessions in 1999 under a public-private partnership (PPP) scheme – Siza Water in Ballito in Kwa-Zulu Natal, and Silulumanzi in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
In both cases, the municipalities governing the coverage areas lacked the necessary funds to upgrade infrastructure so it was decided to hand this to the private sector.
Water losses at Siza and Silulumanzi range between 15% and 20% against the national average of 47% and the global average of 37%.

- Around 1/2 of this European ancestry is genetically Dutch 🇳🇱, with the remainder being about a 1/4 genetically French 🇫🇷, and a 1/5 genetically German 🇩🇪, with the remaining 1/20 being the domain of other European nationalities 🇪🇺🇩🇰🇧🇪🇬🇧.
- Although this is the average, few Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 will fit this pattern, for they are very heteregenous in this regard ❌👨❤️💋👨❌, with the contribution from any of the first 3 nationalities 🇳🇱🇫🇷🇩🇪 to an individual ranging from 10-80%
- Their non European ❌⬜️❌ ancestry is almost equally split between Africa 🌍 and Asia 🌏, with the majority of their Asian 😑 contribution being South Asian 🇮🇳, rather than Southeast 🇮🇩 or East 🇨🇳 Asian, and the majority of their African 🧑🏿🦲 contribution being from imported African slaves, rather than indigenous Khoisan or bantu settlers ❌🇿🇦❌.
- Although almost all of their paternal 👨🏻 haplogroups are most common in Europe, about 12% of their maternal 👩🏼 haplogroups are most common outside of Europe ⬅️🇪🇺, however, many are these were still contributed by women 👯♀️ known to be European 🇪🇺.
- Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 have one of the highest rates of blue eyes 🧿🔵👀 in the world, with over 54% having such pigmentation, they dethrone Poland 🇵🇱 from 4️⃣th place in the world.
- Although their eyes 👁️👃👁️ are some of the lightest in the world 🗺️, the same cannot be said for their hair. They are most similar to Germans 🇩🇪 when it comes to hair colour, with about 1/4 having blond hair 🧑🏼👩🏼, 2/3 having brown hair 🧑🏽👩🏽, and the remainder having mostly black hair 🧑🏻👩🏻 and less 1/50 having red hair 👩🏻🦰🧑🏻🦰.
- Afrikaners 🟧⬜️🟦 are extremely endogamous 🧑🧑🧒🧒✖️🧑🧑🧒🧒, sharing on average more than twice 2️⃣ as much DNA 🧬 with one another than the average Ashkenazi Jew ✡️ does with another Ashkenazi Jew 🪙🕍. Their average relationship is similar to that of a 3️⃣rd or 4️⃣th cousin 🧑🧑🧒🧒, which is much closer than other European 🇪🇺population, who are rarely closer than 🎱th cousins 🧑🧑🧒🧒 on average.
- This is due to their very small ⚛️ effective genetic founding population of 440 individuals, which is similar to the effective genetic founding population of 500 for Ashkenazi Jews ✡️.
- Another consequence of this has been founder effects, leading to an increased prevalence of many rare diseases 🦠🤧🤒. Although these are negative ➖, in a minority of cases, they have been positive ➕.
- Around 89% of Afrikaners are Lactose 🥛🐮 persistent 🛡️. This is slightly higher than the Lactose 🥛🐮 persistence 🛡️rates observed in the Netherlands 🇳🇱, but still within the margin of error.

🇿🇦South African Reconnaissance move away from the R-platforms for the Czech CZ 805 BREN.
Considering that most rifles from the R1 to R4 series were outdated, with parts reaching the age of operational failure, moving to a new weapon platform is an expectable change.
To note; OD Grewn gear, low cut helmets and NVG mount present as well as the new rifle platform. Generally only the special forces divisions of the South African military and SAPS special Task forces are on a modern, global standard. Even the Rwandan Military have helmets with NVG mounts in the DRC while the SANDFS ducks around in National-Party era equipment.
The rifle in the picture may be the 805 Bren, which is a piece of trash (-SANU admin who used it in practise). If it's a BREN 2, it's a game changer and a battle rifle that has been proven in the Ukraine.
